Tumaini joined us on 7th Feb 2011
From where Tuma started her life ..............
Tumaini and her older brother Samwell, were found living with their elderly grandparents after the death of their parents. The village in Mwatapa where we found them was in a poverty stricken area with mainly orphaned children living with HIV. Fortunately after the rescue and routine medical checks we were relieved that both children had not been infected.
Tumaini was only two years old when she was rescued with Sammy, clearly traumatized by her early years and desperate for love and attention.
This is what living at Footprints achieves!
Over the last 4 years Tumaini has grown into a wonderfully happy little girl with many friends at school.
She loves to dance and sing and get involved in helping around the home with the aunties.
She especially loves to read aloud, gaining pleasure from using her voice to create atmosphere!
