Eliza joined us on 4th June 2010.
From where Eliza started her life.......
Eliza is the sister of Mary, Jane and George.
Eliza and her sisters were looking after their 4 month old brother when their parents died within 2 days of each other. Thier mother had been in hospital since George’s birth, so he hadn’t been fed properly and weighed only 4kg. The girls were doing their best to feed him but had no milk so were feeding him a type of porridge - which of course he was too young to digest- what do you do when you are desperate and have no-one to help!
Two days after their mothers death, their father also died when he fell down a mine shaft walking home from work in the dark.
Footprints became involved and very quickly the whole family was living in a safe and secure home.
Eliza has flourished as you can see below.
This is what living at Footprints achieves!
Eliza is a quiet young lady who loves to help around the home. She is studious and in January 2017 she will move in to Grade 8, which is an important year as she will take her KCP exams for entrance to secondary school. She will be studying with her friend, Happiness, who will go to her new school with her.
Eliza is very thoughtful and kind, a real asset to have in the family.
