Dotty joined us on 19th February 2011.
From where Dotty started her life ...............
Dotty’s mother was just 14 years old when she was raped on her way home from school, and Dotty is the result of this horrific incident.
Her mother died just a few months after giving birth and Dotty was unwanted by the rest of her family.
She was quiet, withdrawn and timid when she arrived at Footprints and it took her time to settle in to her new home.
This is what living at Footprints achieves!
Dotty is the most amazing little girl. She is kind and considerate and continually has a smile on her face.
She is extremely clever and works tremendously hard at school.
Dotty loves to read and tell you all about stories, as a result her English is great.
Protecting children from hurt and pain is what we do as parents, but sometimes it's just not possible.
Our beautiful daughter, Dotty has been at Footprints since she was 2 years old, after her mum of just 14 years old died after child birth.
Over the last few years we've tried to maintain the only link she had with her family and that was her grandfather. Sadly, last week, in June 2017, he also passed away and more loss has been inflicted on this innocent little girl.
Footprints took her to say goodbye and once again help her through this terrible loss.
As always we will support her to cope .
