A new venue was chosen for 2017, so that even more women could join the fun and raise money for the children of Footprints.

On  the 11th March, 360 women  attended the 4th GDO.

All of the tickets were sold within 2 hours of going on sale.

    Amazing!

So what happened throughout the day?

A Piper  welcomed everyone in  from 11.45am

Butlers in the Buff – gave out drinks and took people to their table, serving drinks for the first part of the afternoon.

Lisa welcomed everyone and the party began.

Rachel, (aged 13) sang for us, what a wonderful talent she has. She sang Rolling in the Deep, by Adele and it brought tears to our eyes. A huge ' thank you' goes to her and her mum that accompanied her. It must have been terrifying singing in front of such a huge audience - but she was terrific. A talent to watch in the future.

Kerry’s speech followed -  she talked about the challenges and highlights of the past year!

Then we had  the Instant Raffle- huge fun and masses of prizes.

The fabulous  Motown Brothers then played their first set, which was fabulous, they got everyone out of their seats dancing.

The  Auction - made lots of money!

Food was served - we were certainly ready to eat and it was delicious.

It was then up and dancing again to the Motown Brothers  playing  their second set.

The disco saw us all enjoying a good old dance until the end of the event.

The ladies  chilled out and relaxed  with friends, in the knowledge that they had enjoyed a great day out and raised a considerable amount to help Footprints continue to support and nuture young and vulnerable children in Kenya.

Thank you to you all for joining us and you are most welcome again next year.
